Considering the continual conflict between maximizing plant operation and minimizing maintenance shut downs, online safety valve testing (as well as any other online service) becomes an essential part of an efficient maintenance strategy. Online / on site safety valve testing is a win-win solution for the plant operator and the maintenance department. It sustains plant safety, reduces direct testing costs and shut down times, extending the shutdown interval (plant operation) at the same time. Technically the online safety valve test is an analysis of the set point in operational conditions.
